Sylvia Bofry, a Ugandan youth delegate, has been nominated by the Development Fund and the Norwegian Youth Organization of Environment and Development as one of their Climate Youth Advocates to COP15: the United Nations Climate Change Conference Copenhagen 2009 from December 7th to 22nd 2009. During this time, she will present Uganda’s view on climate change.
Sylvia has also helped start a community based organization, Kirinda Youth Environmental Management and Poverty Alleviation Project or KYEMPAPU in Masaka District with the help of Canadian Youth Delegate, Xhing Chiu. They intend on establishing a bark cloth making project, as well as a poultry project for the youth in the community.
